Craftilicious Claire's Chaos

Got the chance to make a boys card (doesn't happen often!!!) for one of my daughters friend. I was inspired by the brilliant Jack Sparrow and came up with this.... This is it folded flat.  This is it folded out flat to show you the shape. I went on the internet and printed off maps, compass, coins and flag.  I stringed some beads from my stash. The key was from an Tim Holtz Die and I  enameled it and the coins to give them a metallic look.    I got the idea for the Ti pee shaped card here   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-UdMmYUMVI  to get all the info you need to make this style of card. I had a lot of fun with this project and I hope you can see it!!

These are a new trend to hit the crafting scene so I had a little play around and this is the result.... I painted the holders with acrylic paint and Distress inked the edges. I then stamped them using Archival Ink and a Big Juicy Pad . I added some embellishments and gems from my stash. The Glass slides images were Tim Holtz stamps and Distress inks , then the image is sandwiched between two glass slides ( found them cheap on Ebay ) and edged them with bronze tape . Used glue dots to attach them onto the holder and added bows at the top to finish them off! Not to shabby for my first go!!! just thought you would like to see where all my crafting happens..... Tucked away under the stairs! It looks chaotic but some how I know where things are ( although some things do disappear but always turn up later!lol!) If it was tidy it would mean I wasn't using it all!!!!!

I wanted to make a gift card holder to give as a present and after searching Google and coming across a tutorial on YouTube for a cupcake! This is my version....... You should check out some of her other tutorials as they are really good and I will definitely trying out some of the projects so just watch this space.................. 

The kids had some days off school so we decided to make a sock monkey....... We got the pattern from  http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Sock-Monkey . We used knee high socks (thats why it has such long legs and arms!) and an old pillow to stuff it. I just added bows and some little chains that I had in with my craft stash. The finished project is pretty cute!!!

One of my friends ended up in hospital so to raise her spirits I made her an inspirational card!!!! I just used up my scraps and cut shapes with my Big Shot die machine, Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers, fancy square Cookie Cutter die and a Butterfly punch . The finishing touches were pastel pink brads and pink organza bows . The letters came from Poundland . The quote i found on the internet and used my Microsoft Office Program to type it out in a style that suited. To age it I used Distress dies and the took a small Ink Stamp pad in gold to edge the whole card.I think this technique really finishes the overall look!!

I made this gate fold card for my neice using  a Martha  Stewart  corner punch ,   Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Die and some papers and stickers from Poundland ( yes you did read it right!lol!) In the center i made an Altered image glass slide . I found the Glass slides off of ebay . I added   craft wire and bead to the bottom of the slide and edged it with Bronze metallic double sided tape .
