Handbags and Waterfall cards

I made two cards for a friend. First I made a Handbag card.....
I used a score board to get the shape of the card and Distress inked the edges of each layer of card ( there are three - white base, brown layer and patterned layer)

I added a layer to the inside as I feel it gives it a more polished look.

I made a wire and bead handle, added some ribbons and charms, then added a flower using Tim Holtz Tattered Flower die and finished off with a flat pearl bead on the clasp.
 And now for the Waterfall Card...
This style of card usually goes from top to bottom but I made it on the side instead.
I used a flower punch to make the flowers and added small flower gems to the middles (each tab has one) and added peel offs for the messages.

Its been a while hasn't it! What can I say life gets in the way and boy has my life changed in the last two years, separated from my(ex) husband, moved, new relationship started, moved again, eldest started college, now youngest set to go to college and eldest moved out! I made a card for my friends daughter I used silver mirror board, pink and black card. I used a stamp set that I got free from a magazine and put glitter on the jeans. I embellished the card with silver brads and gems.

My Sketch Saturday challenge week 191

Every week a sketch is put on a blog with a challenge to make a project using it and this is my entry.... I used a "Lost and Found" designer papers. I stained a paper doily to make the skirt and gold voile ribbon. I stained the card edges with Tim Holtz Soot ink stamped the swirls with a pale brown ink. I embellished with Pearl gems and ribbon. The Best Wishes banner I made free hand.
