21st Birthday Wish

I made this for a friend after seeing a similar card at this link-http://whitchcraft.blogspot.com/2010/10/double-tri-shutter-card-21st-birthday.html and this is my version....
To get the swirl effect I used a Swirl Embossing Folder

This style of card is called a Double Tri Fold card.

This is a back view.

The key was cut using a Tim Holtz Findings Die and the centre is cut using a  Nellie Snellen  Die.


the flowers were cut with the Tim Holtz Tattered  Flowers Die and then put through the Swirl Embossing  Folder.

Its been a while hasn't it! What can I say life gets in the way and boy has my life changed in the last two years, separated from my(ex) husband, moved, new relationship started, moved again, eldest started college, now youngest set to go to college and eldest moved out! I made a card for my friends daughter I used silver mirror board, pink and black card. I used a stamp set that I got free from a magazine and put glitter on the jeans. I embellished the card with silver brads and gems.

My Sketch Saturday challenge week 191

Every week a sketch is put on a blog with a challenge to make a project using it and this is my entry.... I used a "Lost and Found" designer papers. I stained a paper doily to make the skirt and gold voile ribbon. I stained the card edges with Tim Holtz Soot ink stamped the swirls with a pale brown ink. I embellished with Pearl gems and ribbon. The Best Wishes banner I made free hand.
