Flowerpot

My Nans birthday is coming up and she has green fingers so flowers are the natural choice...
I cut a basic plant pot shape in beige card stock and shaded it  with Distress Inks.  I used Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Die to cut out the flowers and a Punch for the Butterflys. I cut the leaves free hand.

I attached the flowers to a separate oval card with glue dots and put  the butterflies into craft wire with a bead. 


I finished off with Peel offs and a tag on the front of the flower pot. The pot stands up as  I attached another pot to the back  but just at the rim edge so the oval card slides in.

Its been a while hasn't it! What can I say life gets in the way and boy has my life changed in the last two years, separated from my(ex) husband, moved, new relationship started, moved again, eldest started college, now youngest set to go to college and eldest moved out! I made a card for my friends daughter I used silver mirror board, pink and black card. I used a stamp set that I got free from a magazine and put glitter on the jeans. I embellished the card with silver brads and gems.

My Sketch Saturday challenge week 191

Every week a sketch is put on a blog with a challenge to make a project using it and this is my entry.... I used a "Lost and Found" designer papers. I stained a paper doily to make the skirt and gold voile ribbon. I stained the card edges with Tim Holtz Soot ink stamped the swirls with a pale brown ink. I embellished with Pearl gems and ribbon. The Best Wishes banner I made free hand.
